BABY PENGUINS (0-2 years)

 

GENERAL GUIDELINES, HEALTH & SAFETY

  • To keep our water clean and healthy, it is necessary for adults to shower (with soap) before entering the water, at least feet and armpits. Adults willing to immerse themselves should wash their hair before entering the water.
  • In the water, for reasons of hygiene/safety is mandatory to use
    • Swimming caps: for adults and children > 2 years old
    • Flip-flops or anti-slippery socks
    • Specific “anti-leak” bathing suits (until 3 years old): Penguins will supply before the first class the two bathing suits required for hygiene reasons for children below 3 years old. On the first day, 25 euros will be charged in our centre, cash or credit card. • Food consumption is only authorized in the cafeteria area, to ensure the perfect hygiene of our facilities.
  • To avoid infections among students in the same class, adults, babies and children with fever or contagious skin infections should not participate in the activities.
  • If a child is sick or has fever, please be careful and do not bring him to class for at least 48 hours. If he/she has had diarrhoea in the last two weeks, please do not bring it to the pool.
  • Please do not enter the pool until the beginning of your class, in order not to interfere with the previous class. For BABY PENGUINS 2 classes, we also recommend that only 1 adult accompanies the baby in his class, in order to maximize the space available for their activities.
  • In order to respect the official data protection laws, and respect the privacy of all families, it is critical that you ask our staff for authorization before taking photos and/or videos. Without the express authorization of our personnel, it is not permitted to make photos and/or videos.
  • Lockers in the changing rooms work with keys: please be careful not to lose the key during your class. In case a key is lost, Penguins will ask for 5.00€ of compensation to cover the cost and management of the new key.

 

MONTHLY FEES:

  • The monthly fee for BABY PENGUINS classes is 93€.
  • Monthly fees will be exclusively billed via direct debit. Payments will be issued monthly, between the 1st and 5th of each month.
  • In case of changes in the bank data/ownership, in order to avoid confusion, please communicate changes at the reception using the SEPA form before the 15th of each month.
  • If you wish to pay in another form (credit card, cash), it will be required that you pay at least one trimester in advance, in order to minimize the administrative work.
  • Absence: Failure to attend classes at our centre does not exempt the payment of the agreed fee
  • Maintenance fee: for families who plan in advance not to attend classes during a full month, but who want to keep their current day/hour: Penguins proposes to keep the place during one month, in exchange of a maintenance fee (50% of the normal monthly fee).

 

ENROLMENT FEES (“MATRÍCULA”):

  • Enrolment fee for new families in the BABY PENGUINS classes is 90€ for the 1st child, 60€ for the 2nd and 0€ as of the 3rd. Enrolment fee will be applied together with the first month’s fee.
  • Enrolment fee will be charged only once per term (starting September 1st until July 28th).
  • You can unsubscribe for one or several months and register again during the same term without paying a new enrolment fee. However, if you sign out from Penguins’ classes during one term and register again during the next term (after summer), a new enrolment fee will be charged.
  • In July 2018, in case you cannot attend classes but want to keep your slot for the new term starting in September, you can ask to pay the maintenance fee (50% of the monthly fee).

 

CALENDAR 2017/18:

  • Beginning/end of our activities: BABY PENGUINS classes will start on Friday, September 1, 2017 and will end on Saturday, July 28, 2018 (both days included).
  • Bank holidays: PENGUINS will close on the days coinciding with official state, regional or local holidays. On those days, our centre will not open, and there will be no possibility to catch-up the class on a different day.
  • Christmas: PENGUINS will be closed on Christmas week for annual maintenance (25-30 Dec). Exceptionally, we will offer families to catch-up the classes not coinciding with bank holidays (i.e. 27, 28, 29, 30 December).
  • “Semana Santa” (March 26-31): PENGUINS will remain open on all days (except bank holidays), although with potential schedule changes.
  • August 2018: our centre will be closed for the whole month. No fee will be applied that month. For all other months, all registered families will be asked to pay the total of the monthly fee, regardless of the Bank Holidays or missed classes.

 

CLASSES DISCONTINUATION:

  • To unsubscribe from Penguins, please notify our staff by email at least 15 days before the end of the month. Else, the full fee will be applied.

 

MAKE-UP CLASSES for medical reasons:

  • Families can catch-up BABY PENGUINS classes only for medical reasons, i.e. when the baby has missed class(es) due to sickness, fever etc. Classes missed for any other reason (bank holiday, travel, vacation) cannot be recovered.
  • The class can be recovered only when the absence has been previously notified by email/phone. Babies will be able to attend up to 2 classes/month, in order to leave space for all families.
  • Classes can only be recovered during the specific recovery timings: please contact reception to book the class. Please be aware the registration will depend on class availability. Classes can be made-up only when a baby is currently attending the classes. If a family has un-registered from Penguins, there is no possibility to make up the classes.

WHITE, BLUE, ORANGE PENGUINS (2-8 years)

    – Swimming caps: for adults and children > 2 years old.
    – Flip-flops or anti-slippery socks
    – Specific “anti-leak” bathing suits (until 3 years old): Penguins will supply before the first class the two bathing suits required for hygiene reasons for children below 3 years old. On the first day, 25€ will be charged in our centre, cash or credit card.

  • Make sure your child has removed all bandages before the class; if he has an open cut or wound, he may not be admitted to class.
  • Please make sure he/she does not go to class with jewellery (earrings, bracelets …)

SAFETY:

  • For safety reasons, it is not allowed for children to run, shout or fight during the class. • Your child should never enter the pool until his teacher is in the water, giving him instruction to enter the water.

  • Beginning/end of our activities: WHITE, BLUE and ORANGE PENGUINS classes will follow the school calendar: they will start on Friday, September 1, 2017 and will end on Friday, June 22, 2018 (both days included).
  • Christmas / Semana Santa: following the same school calendar, PENGUINS will be closed during Christmas week (Dec 27, 28, 29th) and Semana Santa (March 26-31), for maintenance. There will be no class on those days.
  • Bank holidays: PENGUINS will close on the days coinciding with official state, regional or local holidays. On those days, our centre will not open, and there will be no possibility to catch-up the class on a different day.
  • August 2018: our centre will be closed for the whole month. No fee will be applied that month. For all other months, all registered families will be asked to pay the total of the monthly fee, regardless of the Bank Holidays or missed classes.
