At the very beginning of our project, we decided to provide the best swimming experience for babies, children and pregnant women. Not only in terms of methodology, teachers, training equipment, facilities, but also (and most importantly) in terms of water quality and hygiene. We want our water to be cleaner and healthier, in order to offer babies and parents the best possible experience.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As engineers with a specific experience in Chemicals and environment, we have a high exigence in terms of quality: we did a lot of research to select the best and most reliable technology. Indeed, we want this environment to be beneficial not harmful. A study published in the American Journal of Epidemiology, a medical Journal published on behalf of the John Hopkins School of Public Health found that swimming pool chemicals can be harmful when they are inhaled, ingested or absorbed through the skin while swimming<\/u>. Researchers found that disinfection by-products are linked to an increased risk of cancer (see the full article here<\/a>). Another study from Belgium confirms that the classical pool using chemical chlorine as a disinfectant can contribute to asthma, fever and allergies (see the article here<\/a>). This is why we searched for the best available technologies, providing optimal performance for best-in-class hygiene, but with no risk on health.<\/p>\n

  1. We first decided to build a salt water pool<\/u><\/strong>: our disinfection system is directly using the salt from the water to eliminate bacteria. Thanks to this technology we have no need to add any chemical product in the water, like we normally do in normal pools, which is a huge advantage for the health of our customers. The salt level is low (10 times less than sea water) but it\u2019s sufficient to provide the adequate level of disinfection. The absence of chemicals also has a great impact on the babies\u2019 skins.<\/li>\n
  2. We also decided to implement a UV lamp (medium-pressure)<\/u><\/strong> to disinfect the water. Indeed, the chlorine alone is not sufficient to clean the water from all bacteria, especially the \u201cchloramines\u201d. If they are not eliminated, the chloramines are evaporating in the pool area and causing serious health risks like asthma: a study from the San Diego university confirms that inhaling chlorine is dangerous, and that UV lamp system is a great solution for the swimmer\u2019s health. See full article here<\/a>. Our UV lamp \u201cmedium pressure\u201d kills all bacteria and all chloramines, which is why you will never smell any chlorine odor in our pool.<\/li>\n
  3. Finally, we are filtrating our water with \u201cAFM\u201d material (micro glass particles), which offers a filtration quality twice higher than regular filters<\/u><\/strong>. Indeed, usually, pools are using filters with sand; our AFM particles are almost twice smaller than sand particles (4.5 micros vs. 8 microns), which allows us to retain twice more particles in the system. As we have an overflowing pool our water is fully filtered, treated and renewed every\u00a02.5 hours.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The combination of those 3 technologies give us the healthiest possible water. Our water is clearer, cleaner and healthier<\/strong>. This is confirmed by the controls we are performing several times a day, and by the monthly analysis performed by a certified laboratory.<\/p>\n

    Desde el inicio de nuestro proyecto, decidimos ofrecer la mejor experiencia de nataci\u00f3n para beb\u00e9s, ni\u00f1os y mujeres embarazadas. No s\u00f3lo en t\u00e9rminos de metodolog\u00eda, profesorado, material de ense\u00f1anza, instalaciones, sino tambi\u00e9n (e incluso m\u00e1s importante) en t\u00e9rminos de calidad e higiene del agua.\u00a0Queremos que nuestro agua sea la m\u00e1s limpia y saludable, para poder ofrecer a los beb\u00e9s y a sus padres\/madres la mejor experiencia posible.<\/strong><\/p>

    Siendo nosotros ingenieros con experiencia espec\u00edfica en productos qu\u00edmicos y medio ambiente, tenemos un alto requerimiento en t\u00e9rminos de calidad. De hecho, queremos que este entorno sea beneficioso, no da\u00f1ino. Un estudio publicado en American Journal of Epidemiology, una revista m\u00e9dica publicada en nombre de la Escuela de Salud P\u00fablica John Hopkins encontr\u00f3 que los qu\u00edmicos de las piscinas pueden ser da\u00f1inos cuando se inhalan, se ingieren o se absorben a trav\u00e9s de la piel mientras se est\u00e1 nadando.<\/strong><\/span> Los investigadores encontraron que los subproductos de desinfecci\u00f3n est\u00e1n relacionados con un mayor riesgo de c\u00e1ncer (consulte el art\u00edculo completo aqu\u00ed<\/a>). Otro estudio de B\u00e9lgica confirma que el grupo cl\u00e1sico que utiliza cloro qu\u00edmico como desinfectante puede contribuir al asma, fiebre y alergias (ver el art\u00edculo aqu\u00ed<\/a>). Es por eso que buscamos las mejores tecnolog\u00edas disponibles, proporcionando un rendimiento \u00f3ptimo para la mejor higiene de su clase, pero sin ning\u00fan riesgo para la salud.<\/p>

    1. Decidimos construir una\u00a0piscina de agua salada<\/strong>: nuestro sistema de desinfecci\u00f3n utiliza directamente la sal del agua para eliminar las bacterias. Gracias a esta tecnolog\u00eda no tenemos necesidad de a\u00f1adir ning\u00fan producto qu\u00edmico en el agua, como normalmente lo hacen en la mayor\u00eda de piscinas, lo cual es una gran ventaja para la salud de nuestros clientes. El nivel de sal es bajo (10 veces menos que el agua de mar), pero es suficiente para proporcionar el nivel adecuado de desinfecci\u00f3n. La ausencia de productos qu\u00edmicos tambi\u00e9n tiene un gran impacto en las pieles de los beb\u00e9s.<\/li>
    2. Tambi\u00e9n decidimos implementar una\u00a0l\u00e1mpara UV (de media presi\u00f3n)<\/strong>\u00a0para desinfectar el agua. El cloro por s\u00ed solo no es suficiente para limpiar el agua de todas las bacterias, especialmente las \"cloraminas\". Si no se eliminan, las cloraminas se evaporan en el \u00e1rea de la piscina y causan graves riesgos de salud como asma: un estudio de la Universidad de San Diego confirma que inhalar cloro es peligroso y que el sistema de l\u00e1mparas UV es una gran soluci\u00f3n para la salud del nadador. Nuestra l\u00e1mpara UV de \"presi\u00f3n media\" mata todas las bacterias y todas las cloraminas, por lo que nunca oler\u00e1 ning\u00fan olor a cloro en nuestra piscina.<\/li>
    3. Filtramos el agua con el material \u201cAFM\u201d (micro part\u00edculas de vidrio), que ofrece\u00a0una calidad de filtraci\u00f3n dos veces superior a los filtros normales<\/strong>. De hecho, por lo general, las piscinas utilizan filtros con arena; Nuestras part\u00edculas de AFM son casi dos veces m\u00e1s peque\u00f1as que las part\u00edculas de arena, lo cual permite retener dos veces m\u00e1s part\u00edculas en el sistema.<\/li><\/ol>

      Finalmente, optamos por una piscina desbordante, lo cual permite una renovaci\u00f3n continua del agua. En 2 horas, toda el agua est\u00e1 tratada, filtrada y renovada!<\/p>
